The most important quality of justice is the fair trial. Even the highest rank among the judges lament at the people who criticized them for being unfair or biased by the restort that the complaints against them were merely the outcries of the losing party. Judges serve the community who expect them to conduct and dispence justice fairly and impartially so that all parties would see that justice is done and seen to be done.

The main aims of this book are manifold: to enable the reader to recongnize the many cases in the Malaysian courts in which justice had not been seen to be done; to familiarize the ordinary man ofthe judge's craft so that he knows whether a judge has been fair and unbiased in his conduct of the trial; to provide the reader with the essential know-how to enable him to judge the performance of the judges and finally, to help him differentiate between the good and the bad judges.

The duty of the judge is to administrater justice according to the law as it stands. The book discusses two of the most infamous decisions of the Federal Court in the case of Adorna Properties v Boonsom Boonyanit and Insas Bhd v Ayer Molek Rubber Co.Bhd under the section heading "When Justice Is Not Administered According to Law." Many more eye-openers are found in this book. There is also a short introduction to Advocacy which contains useful tips which will be helpful to many lawyers.
